Yingyue Yu

Yingyue studied architecture and environmental design in her undergraduate studies. Her current interest lies in a cross-cultural study of architectural education in China and the US. She is also a cat lover and yoga fan!

Noel was born in Baltimore, played in Pennsylvania, camped in New Hampshire, grew in Baltimore, painted in Providence, marched in New Orleans, leapt in Denver, and listens in Chicago.

Allyson Packer engages with viewers to explore of the politics of our shared spaces through installation and performance. She holds a BFA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and is a 2016 MFA candidate at SAIC. Packer has attended residencies including the McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC and has facilitated projects for galleries including Stop Crying for Axle Contemporary in Santa Fe and (Provisional) Park for Co­ Prosperity Sphere in Chicago.

Allyson Packer

Alex is a Chicago-based educator from San Francisco, CA. Alex received her BA in History from Loyola University of Chicago in 2010. She is interested in the evolving platforms of cultural intuitions and their potential for social good. Her thesis is a study of how teen councils in contemporary art museums are exemplary of the social service they provide. After graduation, Alex hopes to support the development of IntuiTeens, the teen program at Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art and continue to explore ways in which the museum can act as a site for social justice and youth empowerment.

Jacelyn worked as an artist, art educator, curator, and public administrator in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London. Her recent curatorial projects include 8288 Nautical Miles, Creature Comforts, and CPS Senior Portfolio Show 2016. Besides researching on how pedagogies in youth curatorial programs have an impact on arts participation, she currently serves as a curatorial fellow for SAIC’s MFA Show 2016. Her projects are inspired by dinner conversations.

Asha completed her B.A. at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, concentrating in Writing, Culture, & Identity. She has an M.F.A. in creative nonfiction writing from The New School. Her published work as a writer and editor has been acquired in libraries and collections including the George Gustav Heye Center at the National Museum of the American Indian Smithsonian Libraries, National Museum of African American History & Culture Smithsonian Libraries, Brooklyn Museum Libraries, and others.

Baiqi Chen

Baiqi was born of a peasant family and became an enthusiastic practicer of Chinese painting. He was a researcher and entrepreneur of social enterprise during his bachelor degrees in Marketing and Economics. Currently Baiqi is an urban farm owner and he aims to create connections between interdisciplinary arts and their audiences in order to bring personal and social impacts.

 

Baiqi is the videographer for Off(Shore).

George is born in 1984. He is the lunch artist for Off(Shore) and he prefers not to show his photograph.
